I have had two Tripp Lite UPSs now. Neither of them lasted as long as an APC unit I bought several years before them.

The price was good for the capacity. I like the side-ways form factor as I raise my monitor anyway.
Didn't last more than a couple of years. Didn't give any warning before it went. One day working; the next not.

Love the option to rack mount this UPS. The styling is excellent and tons of power for a single server or a few smaller workstations. Ideally best setup for a server rack.

1500 watts is sufficient for my home server build but I only connect that and the monitor to it just in case.

1500 watt UPS with auto shutdown/restart. LCD shows real time AC Volts and proves continually why a good UPS in needed as it regulates the fluctuating input current. Software can be used to shutdown/restart multiple PC's through network without needing to be connected directly to the UPS.
Needing to install a VMA to run the software seems extreme and may be complicated to some but is worth the effort.

Supports up to 700 watts or seven plugs. Great value UPS for many builds. Keeps the voltage constant to your PC and protects from power outages. Great price - go ewiz!

It is pricey for only eight outlets, but having had one computer fried while plugged into a lesser surge protector I would not settle when shopping for a UPS. Tripp Lite did the trick for me.

The device handles all of my components comfortably. One week after I purchased this UPS the power in my home went out. The box sounded an alarm and I was able to walk upstairs and safely shut down my machine without any harm to the devices.
It is heavy.

Ignoring the sticker on the box and trying some replament batteries inside; maybe I can get some more use on secondary machine.

Relatively small size (for a UPS) for the capacity. Works well when new-ish. And, it's trivial for the purpose, but the blue LED display is cool, I have to admit. It's relatively inexpensive, rackmountable, but I wouldn't trust anything critical to one of these units (see "cons").
At end of battery life, you get no warnings; just intermittent, random, but increasing failures. Happened with two of these units. Self-test may report OK, so: not very reliable after a year or two.

Buy this it is worth every penny and has saved my very expensive system many times over. 5 STARS. :D

Solid piece of equipment. This thing has been through some serious storms, lighten strikes, brown-outs, and black outs. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking! I have had it for over 4 years and I love it. Tripp Lite is the bomb.
None.

I have absolutely no complaints about this UPS. Has done it's job and done it well. Bought in February of 2010 and it is now December of 2015. In fact, last night 12.22.15 we had a minor power outage and it stayed up just fine - allowing me to turn items off.

Has lasted five years through numerous power outages with no issues.
After five years, it's time to buy another one.

I bought this unit in 2014 and had it 2 months when things started to happen, but it was infrequent so I thought I was at fault. In my area of Florida we have frequent brown outs and power drops lasting 15 to 20 seconds. The power drops occur almost weekly and brownouts depend of temperature.

Poorly Designed, Unreliable, Non-Replacable Batteries
